Yonkers woman fears for her life after being shot though her front door

A Yonkers woman is in fear for her life after being shot in the heart by a man trying to kick down her apartment door Friday. According to the 24-year-old victim, she was watching television when she heard a loud banging at the door. When she opened the door she said she recognized the person as someone who robbed her the week before. The victim closed the door and that?s when she says the suspect fired a shot. The victim was released from the hospital Sunday with the bullet still inside of her. She said she is in fear that the suspect may come back. Yonkers police have not commented on the shooting as of yet.
