Westchester Emergency Operations Center springs into action

The brand new Westchester County Emergency Operations Center was put to work after the storm hit and is still helping communities cope with the aftermath.
The center acted as a coordinating point from where power crews were dispatched to trouble spots. Those running the emergency operations now have a central place to prioritize the response and assist the communities in the best possible manner.
County Executive Andy Spano says within the center there was total awareness of all the incidents brought on by the storm. This is the first time that the county has activated its new Emergency Operations Center.
