Yonkers home invasion may be linked to Bronx death

? Westchester and Bronx police are investigating the shooting death of a man whose apartment was robbed the same night his body was found.

Police say Jeffery Thompson?s bullet-riddled body was found in The Bronx behind Clinton High School Tuesday. Someone later used the victim?s key to get inside his Yonkers apartment on Douglas Avenue where his girlfriend and young child live. The unidentified girlfriend says the suspects blindfolded and bound her while they robbed the apartment, eventually leaving with a safe. The woman later asked neighbors to untie her.

Police do not believe the incidents were random. Neighbors say they are on edge and hope the suspects never return.
