Pelham police seize more than 400 pounds of marijuana

Pelham police are investigating a series of mail drops that has netted more than 400 pounds of marijuana.

According to authorities, someone tried to intercept a delivery Wednesday, which contained 131 pounds of pot, to Tiso?s appliance store on Wolf's Lane. Employees called the police and the suspect fled. Police say several more drops were attempted in other parts of Pelham and Pelham Manor at private homes during the week. The total of the attempted deliveries is 441 pounds of marijuana, valued at anywhere from $700,000 to a $1,000,000. Police have made no arrests and are continuing their investigation.
