A pool of blood remains in the spot where police say two men were shot Tuesday near Columbus Park in Yonkers.
Police say the early a.m. blaze of gunfire occurred on Park Hill Avenue and Linden Street. The victims, a 17-year-old boy and a 36-year-old man, were walking in the neighborhood at the time of the shooting. Witnesses say the teen was hit in the arm, while the other victim was shot in the face. Both of the men were taken to Westchester Medical Center, where police say they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, residents are complaining that violence has become all too commonplace in certain neighborhoods. They say it is no longer safe to walk the streets.
No arrests have been made. Police say they are continuing to investigate.
