North Salem teen saves the lives of two elderly woman attacked by pit bull

Police say a teenager heroically saved the lives of two women being attacked by a vicious pit bull in North Salem Friday.North Salem Volunteer Ambulance EMT, Robert Wasp put himself in harms way by beating a pit bull with a wrench to free 71-year-old Ann Santangelo from being mauled. Police say Santangelo of West Harrison was dog sitting for her son when the pit bull attacked her 79-year-old friend. Investigators say the dog attacked Santangelo when she stepped in to help her friend. Police say they had no choice but to kill the dog.Eighteen-year-old Wasp is a freshman at the University of Albany.
