Special needs students 'Step Up' from the Jesse Kaplan School in West Nyack

There was a very special event for some special needs students in Rockland County yesterday.
It was graduation day for 16 students from the Jesse Kaplan School in West Nyack. Most of the student were born with developmental disabilities and many came to the school when they were just children. Some could not read or even talk.
One parent tells News 12 that the school has done wonders for her daughter. "They worked very hard with her and made sure that she stayed on task, but they were very kind and nurturing, and she's just had a wonderful experience," says parent Terry Tauser-Wyatt.
Many of the graduates are now going to transition into other programs provided in the county.
