Gov. Andrew Cuomo unveils state's 'community schools' program at Hillcrest School in Peekskill

Gov. Cuomo unveiled the state's new "community schools" program Thursday to help give children a bigger support system.
Cuomo visited the Hillcrest School in Peekskill to visit students and talk about the new program. As part of the program, schools will receive a $500,000 state grant to give families more access to counseling, nutrition and even dental services.
Cuomo says he aims to level the playing field between wealthy districts and those trying to keep up.
Schools will also work with nonprofit agencies to provide families with resources.
