Man slashed in face in Yonkers

A man was slashed in the face in Yonkers overnight, and police are searching for his attacker.
Police tell News 12 two Mount Vernon men, aged 36 and 22, were walking in the area of New School Street when they encountered a group of men at about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday. They say words were exchanged and the two Mount Vernon men were attacked.
The 22-year-old managed to run away, but the 36-year-old man was slashed in the face. Police say they're not sure what was used to cut him. The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, and police say his injuries are not life threatening.
The group of attackers ran off after the assault.
There are police surveillance cameras in the area, as well as private cameras, and investigators are now looking at the video.
