Business owner: Gun owners stock up after mass shootings

The owner of a smoke and gun shop in Mount Vernon says mass shootings mean people will be stocking up on guns.
Michael Timlin, owner of RT Smoke and Gun, says that right after tragedies like the Orlando nightclub massacre, gun owners stock up on guns for fear that their right to bear arms is under attack.
"Legal citizens who carry guns are an asset to this country," he says. "We are not the problem."
Many Hudson Valley politicians, like Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, have renewed a call for more gun control legislation specifically concerning assault rifles.
Rimlin believes cracking down on a specific class of firearms like the AR-15 is a waste of time because it's all guns, not just one specific weapon, that are deadly in the wrong hands.
He says he believes it's time to have a conversation about how law-abiding citizens can protect themselves without being demonized for wanting to feel safe.
