Volunteers build new playground in New Rochelle

Neighbors in New Rochelle pitched in Friday to build a new playground at Feeney Park, just steps away from the city's Boys and Girls Club on Seventh Street.
The nonprofit group "Kaboom," known for building playgrounds around the country, agreed to take on the Feeney Park project. MetLife and Barnum Financial Group also chipped in with funding and volunteers.
News 12 was told that the park hadn't been renovated since the 1990s.
The new playground boasts 2,500 square feet of playing space. It also has more benches and picnic tables.
