Tuckahoe-based charity receives donation from Donald Trump

A Tuckahoe-based charity was the recipient of a donation from presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
On Tuesday, Trump detailed the list of veteran charities that received donations from a January fundraiser that he held in Iowa.
The Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation, or MC-LEF, received a $1 million check from Trump.
The small foundation has kept a low profile in its two decades of giving, but it was the biggest beneficiary of the almost $6 million Trump raised for veterans.
MC-LEF President Ed Boran says the windfall will help them do a lot of good.
"Our mission very simply is, any Navy Corps man, Marine or federal law enforcement officer that dies, we will give $30,000 scholarship to each of their children," he says.
Boran says he first met Trump in 1985 when the real estate developer put up $1 million for a Vietnam memorial parade in Manhattan.
