Fire rips through Mahopac home

Flames ignited at a two-story home in Mahopac Tuesday night.

Dozens of fire crews responded to the fire at 7 Barrett Place around 7:30 p.m.

Firefighters say the lack of hydrants in the area made battling the flames difficult.

News 12 is told a man and his two daughters who live at the home were able to get out safely.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
