Mother Nature throws wet blanket on Memorial Day

Not only is Mother Nature throwing a wet blanket on the Hudson Valley this holiday, but other parts of the country are getting rained out too.
Tropical Depression Bonnie is bringing more heavy rainfall to the Carolinas as it moves along the coastline, making for a wet Memorial Day.
The system brought rain and rough seas to Carolina beaches, forcing red flag warnings that kept people out of the water. Flooding also shut down parts of Interstate 95, creating traffic jams that further snarled holiday plans.
Parts of Texas are coping with flooding caused by days of rain. Six people have died across the state, and evacuation orders were issued in some areas.
Forecasters say more thunderstorms could erupt in the central-west and in the Plains states Monday, bringing more misery to southeast Texas, where local rivers continue to rise.
