Playing With Fire: Probe into embattled fire inspector complete, says sources

The long-awaited probe into Ramapo's embattled fire inspector is complete, according to sources.
Ramapo Fire Inspector Adam Peltz is accused of ignoring safety code violations, including missing sprinklers, padlocked doors and broken exit signs during his visits to at least 19 local private schools.
The results of the investigation may not be available until a public town meeting on Wednesday.
Even though the results of the probe have not been revealed, change is already in the works in Ramapo.
For the first time in the town's history, a yeshiva, operated by Congregation Ateres Yisroel on Forshay Road in Monsey, was shut down last Friday after it was found riddled with violations.
Also, Tom Buckley, the retired fire inspector for Ramapo is back on the job reinspecting the schools that Peltz was in charge of protecting.
