Police: Woman attempted to lure teen walking to school

Sleepy Hollow police say they are looking for a woman who allegedly attempted to lure a teen into her vehicle while she was walking to school.
Police say the female student did not know the woman and refused the ride. The woman was described as being in her 50s.
The incident happened along the 300 block of North Broadway in Sleepy Hollow around 8:15 a.m. on Friday.
Authorities say the woman claimed to be a nurse, and continuously asked to drive the teen to school. After she refused, the woman drove off in her silver, four-door vehicle.
A similar incident occurred in Greenburgh in the Valimar Community in White Plains last week, where police say a woman in her 50s asked a 9-year-old to get in her car because she had puppies in the back seat.
Anyone with information about the luring attempt is urged to call Sleepy Hollow police.
