Orange Co. man gets 18 years to life for killing wife

An Orange County man was sentenced to 18 years to life behind bars for murdering his wife.
Leonard Salters, 51, pleaded guilty in September to killing Junco Salters, who was 62 at the time of her death on June 20, 2014.
Prosecutors say the two got into a heated argument and that Salters then stabbed his wife to death in their apartment on Fort Putnam Street. They say Leonard Salters drove off, but was later found by authorities after crashing his car in Irvington, N.J.
The tragedy was the second killing in the family. Junco's brother, Terry Camper, was killed by his wife and her lover in a murder-for-money plot two years ago.
