Trial date set for student stabbing suspect

A trial date is now set for the Rockland teen who is accused of stabbing another teen at Spring Valley High School.

Christopher Bermeo, 16, and his lawyer walked out of the Rockland County Courthouse in New City without saying a word yesterday after a judge scheduled Bermeo's trial to start on Feb. 10.

The Rockland District Attorney has charged the teen with attempted murder and assault for allegedly using a pen knife to stab a classmate four times inside the school on March 2015.

Bermeo is out on bail as he awaits his trial.
