Police: Woman found dead in home; man in custody
Police say a woman was found dead inside her multimillion-dollar home in Scarsdale and a man has been taken into custody in connection with her alleged murder.
Westchester County and Scarsdale police responded to the home located at 50 Lincoln Road.
The 58-year-old woman's body was apparently discovered Wednesday morning. Officers closed the immediate area surrounding the home as a county forensic team investigated the scene.
Police have not disclosed the relationship between the victim and the 61-year-old man in custody. However, property records show that the homeowner is Jules Reich, who resides in the home with Dr. Robin Goldman, a pediatrician at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. News 12 has learned that Reich works at a financial consulting firm in Manhattan.
The two are believed to be married, and the initial 911 call was allegedly made by the man.
Details surrounding the murder remain unclear.
Police say the incident marks the first homicide in the village since 1977.
Scarsdale police plan to hold a news conference on the murder Thursday afternoon.
