Westchester senior living center considers bankruptcy

Westchester Meadows Senior Living Center is considering filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Hebrew Hospital Home, its parent company, wants to sell the independent living center because it says it's operating at a loss.
Senior residents pay approximately a $300,000 to $500,000 entrance fee to live there, which can be partially refundable if they leave Westchester Meadows or pass away.
Tenants of Westchester Meadows received a four-page letter from management, saying they will continue to provide living arrangements and services to seniors and keep them informed about the bankruptcy and sale process.
The letter further warns that management can't guarantee there will be no adverse impact for residents.
