New Rochelle man accused of raping disabled woman

A New Rochelle man is accused of raping a developmentally disabled woman in February.
Police say Fitton Telesford, 37, approached the 39-year-old victim, who was bagging groceries at the ShopRite in New Rochelle, and told her he wanted to take her out for pizza. During the victim's lunch break, they say he brought her to a parking lot and raped her in his car.
Investigators say DNA evidence ties Telesford to the crime.
Telesford has been charged with multiple rape and criminal sex acts. He being held without bail at the Westchester County Jail and is expected back in court on Sept. 1.
