Friends, family mourn passing of Al DelBello

Friends and family continue to mourn for a legendary Democrat credited with the creation of a countywide bus system and the Westchester Medical Center.
A lone flag flew at half-staff Monday in honor of Al DelBello, the former Yonkers mayor turned county executive turned lieutenant governor.
DelBello passed away at age 80 last Saturday after a bout of pneumonia and a bad fall that left him with several broken bones in his neck.
A private funeral is being held this week, but a public memorial has been scheduled at the Tappan Hill Mansion on May 28. Thousands are expected to attend.
