DeCicco & Sons grocery store suffers data breach

A popular Westchester Grocery store has suffered a data breach.
DeCicco & Sons Grocery in Ardsley was the victim of a recent cyberattack, compromising a number of customers' credit card numbers.
Shoppers who have been hit before say it wasn't hard to spot.
"All of a sudden you look on your bill and you got gas stations, and you got something way out of town and you've got other stores," said customer Lenoir Rosenbaum, of Hartsdale.
Store officials say they think the breach happened between April 15 and 17.
Paul Heskestad, operations director of the store, says they do not store any credit card data, and that it does not appear names, addresses, expiration dates or PINs were compromised.
Investigators believe the criminals hacked into the firewall, which gave them access to the registers at the Ardsley store and then to the credit card machines.
There are five different DeCicco & Sons locations. Each has a separate firewall, which is why only the Ardsley location was compromised.
