Missing kayaker's fiancée recalls last moments she saw him

The devastated fiancee of a kayaker who went missing in Orange County spoke to News 12 exclusively about the last minutes she saw her loved one alive.
Angelika Graswald and Vincent Viafore spent last Sunday kayaking together in two separate crafts from Plum Point to Bannerman's Island. On the way back, their trip took a turn for the worse as the wind picked up.
Graswald recalls seeing Viafore struggling and trying to figure out how to paddle the waves. She says the waves suddenly tossed Viafore, who wasn't wearing a life jacket, into the frigid water.
She kept paddling toward him, hoping he could hold on.
"He said, 'I don't think I'm gonna make it,' and I said 'What are you talking about? Of course you are,'" she recalls.
Graswald called 911 before being tossed in the rough waters herself. She remembers seeing rescue boat lights shortly after she lost sight of her fiance.
Rescuers have searched extensively for the 46-year-old along the Hudson River to no avail.
