A new law could help prevent sexual assaults on college campuses.



On Wednesday, Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul was at the College of New Rochelle to rally support for the legislation.



The law would standardize policies for schools across the state.



If it passes, the new law would also provide other protection to students, including a bill of rights for survivors.
