High school students in White Plains camped out to raise awareness for homelessness.
Stepinac High School students slept in a cardboard box overnight to help bring attention to the homeless population.
Students were asked how they prepared for the challenge and they said they tried not to.
"My strategy was to not prepare at all. I wanted to, you know, get straight into it, because you know, for a lot of people this is life. I didn't want it to be like climbing Mt. Everest where you're building up to a certain thing--no, you're just thrown right into it," said Nicholas Desanctis.
The money raised from the campout will go to a homeless organization in White Plains.
