A local college is getting help to prevent underage drinking and drug use.
SUNY Purchase is among 20 state schools included in a $2.5 million initiative targeting college-age youth.
The funding will support campus and community partnerships to help strengthen local prevention efforts.
The governor's office says the funding will support the development of campus-community coalitions and foster partnerships to help strengthen local prevention efforts. "Through campaigns aimed at combating drug use and underage drinking, we can help set students on the right path by creating a campus environment that fosters education, awareness and growth for all," says Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
