There is call to delay toll debt collection in New York for 90 days.
State Sen. David Carlucci (D) is demanding action after a nurse serving on the front lines almost had her registration suspended over unpaid toll bills.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey sent the letter, telling the nurse her registration would be suspended at the end of this month if she did not pay the $230 she owed in tolls plus $900 in administrative fees. Thanks to Sen. Carlucci, the nurse only had to pay only the $230.
Carlucci now calling on the Port Authority to delay toll debt collection for 90 days and is also urging anyone with toll bill disputes to contact his office at 845-623-3627.
