State police released new information in a wrong-way crash that killed two people on Tuesday in Orange County.
They say they've learned the car that was going the wrong way entered the New York State Thruway at Exit 15.
State police say 68-year-old George Gonzalez, of Dumont, New Jersey, drove north in the southbound lanes on Route 17 in New Jersey. He then got on the Thruway at Exit 15 and onto the southbound lanes of I-87 while still going northbound.
The crash happened around 1 a.m. Tuesday in Tuxedo.
Police say Gonzalez and 67-year-old Yehuda Weinstock, of Chester, were found in their cars between Exit 16 in Harriman and Exit 15-A in Sloatsburg.
State police say the two men killed were the only people in the cars.
