A foreign-exchange student at St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill is accused of posting a terror threat online.
According to Orangetown police officials, Inigo Aldecoa-Tapia, 20, posted a message on social media threatening a massacre at the college.
Police would not say which site was used to make the threat, but say the student, who is visiting from Spain, implied the attack was in a planning stage.
Aldecoa-Tapia was arrested Monday morning, and police say he had no weapons. He's been charged with making a terrorist threat and second-degree aggravated harassment. He was taken to the Rockland County Jail and held on $10,000 bail.
The college was opened Monday morning after the entire campus was searched, including residence halls and academic buildings.
