The mayor of Spring Valley in Rockland County was caught on tape losing his temper for a second time.
News 12 acquired an audio tape of a recent meeting between Mayor Alan Simon and Village Trustee Eudson Francois. The group was discussing swimming pool fees, when the conversation escalated into a shouting match.
Trustee Francois says the mayor, who has a history of inappropriate behavior, has to go.
Last February, Simon was disbarred as an attorney after 50 years of alleged bullying and threatening behavior as a judge.
A few weeks ago, Mayor Simon was also caught on cellphone video arguing with a Department of Transportation road crew doing work in the village.
Sherry Scott, who has served as a Spring Valley Village clerk for 18 years, says both she and her daughter – who is on the village board -- have been subjected to Simon's vulgar outbursts.
In a statement Mayor Alan Simon said Trustee Francois "has refused to follow any order, direction or any aspect of Robert's rules and continuously disrupts meetings."
Trustee Francois says he plans to take his complaint about the mayor to the state attorney general.
