Spring Valley police asked the public Tuesday afternoon for help solving a deadly hit-and-run case.
They say a gray or silver coupe killed 54-year-old Eva Linda Najera Gomez as she was walking on Commerce Street between West Street and South Myrtle Avenue on Oct. 15 at 1:30 a.m.
Police don't know the make or model of the car or the license plate number, despite the car being caught on video as the driver turned from North Myrtle Beach onto Church Street after the incident.
There is a street light on Commerce Street, but police say it was very dark when the incident happened and that the driver might not have even realized that someone was hit.
The victim, who is from Guatemala, died at a hospital from her injuries.  She is survived by her 13-year-old daughter.

Police are asking anyone with information on the fatal hit-and-run to call 845-213-8656.
