A somber ceremony was held in Spring Valley Wednesday to remember taxi drivers who lost their fight to COVID-19.
The event took place Wednesday morning in Spring Valley.
Officials honored the lives of those drivers while recognizing the entire taxi industry on what's known as "Taxi Appreciation Day."
Officials unveiled a plaque that will be in Village Hall with each of those drivers names so they are never forgotten.
Village officials say they are seeking the public's help to identify at least a dozen more drivers that they say also died from the virus. They say they want to add their names on the plaque as well.
