The Super Bowl wasn’t the only thrill game this weekend as a number of high school basketball games went down to the wire.
Quinn Reavy had 23 points, and Ryan McIntyre added 14 points as Mamaroneck shocked Mount Vernon 53-50 avenging an 18-point loss earlier this season.
In Rye, Byrum Hills had good solid performances from Jon Trongone, Sam Goldman, Matteo Sinon as the Bobcats beat the Garnets 55-53 in overtime.
In girls action, Ursline had to go to overtime to beat Albertus Magnus 75-72 as junior Sonia Citron had 31 points.
