The man Democrats backed as their candidate for governor rolled into White Plains Friday on his campaign tour.
State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer says he wanted to communicate with real people as he started his bus tour across New York. At the City Limits Diner in White Plains people were eager to speak with Spitzer and he was eager to listen. Spitzer says it is his obligation to hear the concerns of voters.
Republican gubernatorial designee John Faso will face William Weld in a primary to see which one will go up against Spitzer in November. But not wanting to lose any ground, Faso came out fighting. He says tax cuts are not in Spitzer?s vocabulary. Spitzer countered by saying he is not raising taxes, he is going to balance the budget.
