Westchester County Executive Andy Spano will leave with several of his staffers Thursday for a 10-day trip to China. Spano wants to further Westchester?s involvement in the global economy. During his trip, the county executive will be meeting with the minister of technology and commerce and other business leaders. He also hopes to initiate a student exchange program between Briarcliff Manor High School and leading schools in Beijing and Shanghai. This is Spano's fourth trip to promote local ties to the world's most populated country. The Democrat, who's now serving his third term in office, was criticized for going to China last year during the Bee-Line Bus strike.
