Gunshots rang out in Mount Vernon this morning.
Police responded to reports of gunfire at Gramatan and West Sidney avenues at around 4 a.m. Detectives blocked off a portion of West Sidney Avenue at both ends while they investigated.
Sources in the neighborhood tell News 12 that at least one man was shot. The victim was taken to Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital, but his wounds are reportedly not life-threatening.
There are no reports of any arrests yet.
