Soundview students sent a strong message that being a part of a gang is not smart.
Students at I.S. 131 sent their anti-gang message through a new public service announcement. The teens are part of an anti-gang youth group that advises others students about staying in school and avoiding peer pressures. The effort is part of the Key to Success Program and has been around for the past three years.
The students are so committed to getting their message out, they are reaching out to Bronx public officials so the anti-gang message gets all around the borough.
