Some Westchester roads reopen after massive flooding
Commuters in Westchester got a bit of relief Tuesday after some major roadways reopened after massive flooding.
The Hutchinson River Parkway was reopened to traffic in both directions during the late morning. The parkway had been closed after the nor'easter?s heavy rains caused the overflow of the nearby river. The flooding left mud and debris on the road. County highway crews were out in force to remove the mud, but they caution drivers that roadways may be still be slick.
Portions of the Saw Mill River and Sprain Brook parkways both reopened, but parts of the Bronx River Parkway remain closed.
