An Army soldier will spend three years in prison following a training accident that killed a West Point cadet last year.
According to an Army spokesman, Staff Sgt. Ladonies Strong was convicted by a military panel in Georgia of negligent homicide.
The panel says Strong was driving a transport vehicle when it overturned, killing 19-year-old Cadet Christopher Morgan. The incident wounded 19 other cadets.
News 12 is told Strong was acquitted of several other charges but could appeal the conviction.
