Snow, rain makes for messy commute across Westchester
Another blast of snow and rain made for a messy commute Monday throughout Westchester County.
Areas such as Yonkers and Irvington saw snow early, with sanders and plows working to keep Route 9 and the Saw Mill River Parkway clear. One resident from Highland Falls said there was about three inches when he left to go to work. He said as he drove further south the conditions started to improve, adding that by the time he got to Ossining the roads were much better.
Overall, drivers say the latest blast of winter weather wasn't too bad. Still, drivers are urged to take it slow on the roads.
