Slain hotel heir's collection vanishes
News 12 sources say the multimillion-dollar Batman collection previously owned by hotel heir Benjamin Novack Jr., who was killed at the Rye Hilton in July, has disappeared from storage Tuesday.
A large part of Novack's collection, believed to be the second largest in world, was stored in several warehouses in Broward County, Fla. On Tuesday, sources say the locks on the storage units had been cut and most of the items removed.
The collectibles are at the heart of a bitter estate battle between Novack's widow, Narcy Novack, and his stepdaughter. The two women have accused each other of plotting Ben Novack's murder.
