Human skeletal remains were found in Blooming Grove Friday morning.
Officials say workers cutting trees made the discovery in the woods just off Route 208 and Captain Carpenter Road.
Investigators are working with the Orange County Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death and attempt an identification.
Police say they have a number of missing persons cases in the area and that identifying the remains will take some time.
