A 16-year old solo artist is the second winner of News 12's of 'Sounds Of The Season' contest.
Penny Sierra has been performing since she was in second grade, and says she appreciates the platform to spread positivity and love and Christmas joy. "It gives me an opportunity to speak to someone and reach someone and motivate and inspire and get them to feel something."
The Minisink High School student, who attends practices at the Middletown YMCA, says she is thrilled to place in the Sounds of the Season top 4! "First I told close friends and they voted, and I made it to the top 12. Then I didn't promote myself until half way in the week and when I started getting votes, and they started accumulating, I was like 'oh, I have a chance!'"
It's a well-deserved win, from a young lady who's excited to pass along some holiday spirit.
Below are her performances!
