A sick Rockland boy is hoping that a trial program that enabled him to learn from home will be reinstated.

Vincent Forzono, of Stony Point, has hydrocephalus. His mother, Danille, says the condition has sent him to the hospital more than 30 times since being diagnosed as a toddler. That includes a visit last week.

News 12 previously reported that he used an interactive robot that sat in Farley Upper Elementary School so he could learn from home.

Forzono's mother says the sixth-grader no longer has it because it was only a trial.

"When he's home here, he's more comfortable," she says.

News 12 reached out to the North Rockland School District but hasn't yet heard back.

There is not set date for Vincent Forzono to return to school. When he does go back, he sits in the guidance office instead of class.
