Outraged over the recent decision to cut anit-terrorism funding to downstate New York, lawmakers in Westchester and Hudson Valley are putting pressure on Homeland Security chief Michael Chertoff.

Chertoff announced a 40 percent cut in homeland security funding to the area. Lawmakers citied not only the landmarks in New York City, but also noted that the Tappan Zee Bridge, Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant, Westchester County Airport and the Kensico Resoirvoir are all high-risk terror targets.

Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) was on Long Island urging residents to send postcards of New York landmarks to Chertoff. Clinton, along with many New York lawmakers are vowing to fight the cuts.
