Severe thunderstorm watch, warnings issued for Westchester and Hudson Valley as storms move across region
More rain and thunderstorms are moving through the Hudson Valley this evening, and some storms could be severe. 
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Westchester and the Hudson Valley through 8 p.m. Sunday.
A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for parts of multiple counties in the Hudson Valley through 6:15 p.m., including Orange, Putnam, Westchester and Rockland. That warning has since expired.

Some storm cells began popping up across the region this afternoon. They are packing the chance for damaging, gusty winds, downpours, hail and lightning.
Conditions were expected to dry out after sunset, with clear skies overnight.
 
 

On Monday, it is expected to be mainly sunny with spot showers during the day. Highs will be near 85 degrees.
