Severe thunderstorm watch issued for part of Hudson Valley with chance for scattered storms

The remnants of Hurricane Laura made for a soggy Saturday in the Hudson Valley, with periods of rain today and a chance for some thunderstorms this evening.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Ulster and Dutchess counties through 12 a.m.
News 12 meteorologists say we could see some scattered pop-up storms through the evening. Any storms could pack the chance for gusty winds, hail and lightning.
 
A cold front will come through Saturday night, and the storms will taper off. The overnight low will be around 63 degrees.
Sunday will be mostly sunny with highs around 79 degrees.
