Rockland County is mourning the loss of Joe Maragliano, a dedicated firefighter who served for 54 years as company lieutenant and vice president of the Empire Hook and Ladder Company in Upper Nyack.

Maragliano passed away at the age of 75 over the weekend.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at the Hannemann Funeral Home in Nyack, with a graveside service scheduled for Friday at Gethsemane Cemetery in Rockland Lake
