Members of the class of 2020 is navigating their new normal as the pandemic steals their pomp and circumstance.

Katharine Burr and Isabel Kern are seniors at New Rochelle High School. Their classes were among the first to be moved online as the city was the initial hotspot for the coronavirus in the state.
The seniors says it's disappointing to know they're missing out on the final high school memories they've looked forward to all their lives.
"I think we're all about to go off really far to colleges so we're not gonna get to hang out with our friends for the last time," says Kern.
Sarah Lawrence College seniors Sarah Kern and Emma Tynan were on spring break when they found out their final college days would be done online.

“I tried to deny it because I didn't want to accept that I wouldn't be going through all the graduation traditions we've heard so much about," says Kern.

All those traditions, including a farewell dinner for school advisors and seniors, are being done virtually by Sarah Lawrence.
The college did promise a raincheck on an in-person graduation.

Sarah Lawrence's virtual graduation is this Friday.
The New Rochelle School District says it hopes to make a decision about the graduation in the next few days.
